Emergency Care

For example, you can use our Sam Splint Original, an extremely pliable multi-purpose splint, built from a thin core of aluminum alloy, sandwiched between two layers of closed-cell foam. The Sam Splint Original is also ideal for splinting IVs. Or, you can use our accident blanket, designed to be used in the event of an emergency, to control the loss of body heat as a result of an accident, shock, or hypothermia.

You never know when you may see a seriously injured person, so we highly recommend buying our emergency products. Here are the 5 most common medical emergencies:

1. Starting, of course, with bleeding.

Cuts and wounds cause bleeding, but the severe injury can also cause internal bleeding that you can't see. Not all incidents of bleeding need emergency medical treatment, often they can be treated by first aid at home following advice from a pharmacist or GP.

2. Breathing difficulties

There can be several reasons why someone may have difficulties in breathing. For example, asthma attacks, allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), and coughs or colds. If someone is experiencing breathing difficulties they may feel panicked, which can further affect their breathing.

3. Someone collapses

If someone has collapsed, they are likely to need medical attention. This is because their levels of consciousness or breathing could be affected. Do NOT use our emergency medical products if you are unsure or panicked!

4. Severe pain

Pain can occur suddenly or increase over some time. Pain can be caused due to illness or injury.

5. A stroke

A stroke is a serious life-threatening medical condition that occurs due to the blood supply to part of the brain being cut off. The most important thing for someone who is having or has had a stroke is time. The sooner someone receives emergency medical treatment, the more the chances of lasting damage are reduced.

We have all the products you need for those emergencies!
